Comment: According to Farrington (2012), this athlete was probably active somewhere between c. AD 210-230. Moretti dates his Olympic victory to AD 225 on the basis of PLond III, 1243. Aurelius Phoebammon was a pankratiast who held the title of periodonikes. The specific periodos festivals are not mentioned in the inscription, therefore we assume he was victorious at the traditional four panhellenic festivals. - YP P.
