Comment: Cartledge dates the Ourania in the description around 105/106. Weir (2004) and Sarikakis date the inscription earlier, to c. 27 BC - AD 14. The honorary monument by Smyrnaeans for this man from Smyrna was found in Sparta. According to the inscription he won many victories in pentateric and triteric games (τμ, i.e. 340 victories), and was made citizen in the whole of Greece, Macedonia, Thessaly, and Crete.
