Comment: His third name is found in Boekh's CIG as 'Aureli<an>us', while the edition by Strasser reads '...n'. Agonistic titles: Theodotos was the only one and first of all men of all time to compete against ἄνδρες from the age of sixteen (ll. 6-8, μόνον καὶ πρῶτον / τῶν ἀπ’ αἰῶνος ⟨ἀνθρώπων⟩ ἑκκαίδεκα ἐτῶν ἀρ⟨ξ⟩άμενον {ΑΠΟΡΟΘΙΩΝ} / τοὺς ἄνδρας ἀγωνίζεσθαι, edition by Strasser (2002) in BCH 126, p. 106). Victories: Apart from the victories listed in the events below, Theodotos won καὶ ἄλλους πλείσ/τους ἱερ<οὺς> τε <καὶ> θεματικοὺς ἀγῶνας (ll. 16-17, 'also many other victories at the ieroi- and thematikoi-games'). Relatives: According to ll. 17-18, the athlete was trained by his own father, Rufus son of Phildaldelphos, who was a μελοποιός, which can be translated as 'lyric poet'.
