Comment: According to Farrington (2012), this athlete was probably active somewhere between c. AD 215-245. Inscription F.Delphes III.1, 554 mentions Serapion as having been victorious in the periodos at the age of 22. The specific festivals of the periodos are not mentioned, therefore we assume that he was victorious at the four traditional festivals. According to inscription IG VII, 1776 Serapion was also victorious at the Megala Sebasteia Mouseia, held in Thespiae. Moretti (1957) dates this victory to AD 217. - YP
