Contest place is not made explicit, but Farrington (2012), 25 asserts that the Isthmia were held from Nero onward at the Poseidon sanctuary on the Isthmos; Agathopous won the Isthmia once. The dating is uncertain, and based on the mentioning of a victory under joint rule, either referring to Marcus Aurelius and Lucius Verus or Severus and Caracalla, cf Farrington (2012), 151 note 516, who also offers the date 183-198 A.D. as an option. Agathopous was a victor in the dolichodromos, 'in all the following sacred games (hierous agonas'). - PK
