Subject of Pindar's 5th and 6th Isthmian ode, though also a Nemean victor (Pi. I. 5.18-9, 6.3-4). I have followed Farrington (2012), no. 1.31 and p. 110 note 236 for the dating, based on Pi. I. 5.48 referring to the Battle of Salamis as a recent event; the 5th ode is chronologically later than the 6th. Phylakidas won in the pankration; though this is not made explicit for his Nemean victory it is only logical; the 6th Isthmian ode is specifically for his victory as a pais. - PK
We can asume that Phylakidas won in the Pankration at the Nemea, since that is the discipline he won at the Isthmia. The 6th Isthmian ode is specifically for his victory as a pais. - EK
