Unknown which festival - the first part is illegible, but it ends in 'ieia' (line 13).
It is not without question that Paus. 1.37.2 and IG II(2), 3779 refer to the same Nikokles; Farrington (2012), p. 126 note 320 suggest they might, which is the basis for the origin of the victor in the inscription, viz. Taras (Tarentum). Pausanias also mentions Nikokles was a succesful kitharodos, whereas the inscription only gives the discipline for one victory, viz. the victory in the Lenaia, in the dithyramb - perhaps the statue elucidated this issue, but it is no longer extant. Cf. the aforementioned note of Farrington also for the date range. The inscription gives many and various victories, among which the Isthmian (of which it was said he was 'protos'). - PK
