| Comment: | The reading 'Heraia' is doubtful (<κ>αὶ Ἡρ<αῖ>α, l. 11). A new edition of the inscription by Strasser (2002) in BCH 126, pp. 104-109 suggests the reading '<καὶ> Ἄ<κτι>α. At the end of line 11, a second reference to a victory at the Aktia is made, starting with 'καὶ τὸ βʹ Ἄκτια ...'. The 'καὶ τὸ βʹ' suggests an earlier victory at the same festival, making Strasser's reading likely. |
