| Comment: | Diognetos had killed his opponent and the Eleans therefore refused to crown him. He was celebrated as an hero by his fellow citizens. Due to this heroisation of the athlete, most commonly known from the late 6th and early 5th centuries BC, Moretti suggests a date of the victory around this time. |
