Pausanias (also briefly, Eusebius and Iulius Africanus) narrates Arrhachion won 3 Olympic victories in pankration: the third one at the 54th Olympiad (=564 BC) and the two others prior to that festival. Moretti 1957, nos. 95, 99 takes them to be the two immediately preceding this festival. In his last victory, Arrhachion's neck was squeezed by his opponent, but Arrhachion managed to dislocate the opponent's toe, whilst in the process of being suffocated to death. Yet, his opponent had to give in due to the pain in his toe and the Eleans crowned victor the corpse of Arrhachion.
He also had a trainer called Eryxias.
