| Comment: | P.Oxy 222 adds that it was this victor's second victory. Some have identified this victor therefore also with [--]ges of Epidauros (entry no. 166), who won the diaulos earlier. Moretti is unconvinced; indeed, the cities, disciplines and names are different. Or, for some reason, the hoplite-race was held twice at this particular Olympiad. But that seems unlikely too. It could also have been a mistake in the papyrus. |
