Comment: | Pausanias saw two statues of Timon. One with his son, Aisepos (see entry no. 288) and a bronze chariot with Nike on top. The first statue group was made by Daedalus of Sikyon. He seems to have been active in the first half of the 4th century BC. Moretti 1957, no. 364 suggests Timon's victory to have taken place at the 95th Olympiad (= 400 BC). |
