Comment: | The dating is tentative and based upon Farrington (2012), note 359, based upon a statue for Agesarchos at Olympia and the dating of its sculptors by Pliny, as well as the political status of Tritaia. Given the dating, it is assumed that the Isthmian Games were held at Sikyon rather than at Korinthos (Isthmia) proper after the events of 146 BC. - PK Moretti (1957), no. 649 informs us that the name of the father is read in a variety of ways: Haimostratos, Damostratos, Archestratos. Moretti himself prefers Amestratos. [DvdL] |
