The dating is based upon Farrington (2012), 142 note 454, based in part on references to Sparta's penteteric Ourania and the estimated career length of a flute-player. The source SEG 52.528 gives as discipline both pythaules and choraules, but for some of the victories, among which the Isthmian, it is not specified in which discipline the musician participated. These unspecified victories have as a discipline simply 'musical'. - PK/CT
Zosimos was the first of all times to win as pythaules and as choraules at the Pythia in one celebration of the festival.
Apart from the victories listed below, ll. 8-9 of the inscription reveal that the athlete won at another 287 (σπζʹ) festivals and an unknown number at prize-festivals. Although the inscription is damaged, it is clear that the specific festivals belonging to these victories were not in the inscription.
