It is said that Themison won 89 other contests, making for a 94 (!) total according to Broneer's reading of the text; I have not made entries for the unnamed festivals. The text does state that he was the only one and first to do so (ll. 7-8).
Lines 7-10 state that he 'used themes from the works of Euripides, Sophocles and Timotheos as a basis for lyric poetry set to music', cf. Farrington (2012), 143 note 459 and Broneer (1953), 193; the verb used is 'melopoiein'. The exact discipline in which Themison participated is not specified, but it was something musical. - PK, CT
Strasser (2022) reads his name as possibly being 'Publius Gaius Aelius Themison'.
