| Comment: | Eupolos bribed his opponents (see also entry no. 304) and was fined for it. Six images of Zeus were erected to commemorate this first instance of cheating. The epigrams remind the reader that one cannot win at the Olympic games through bribery and act as warnings to the Greeks not to bribe at the Olympic games.
