Comment: Boxer from Mytilene who according to Paus. 6.15.1 had won a victory at all contests of the periodos by the age of 20. The date range is from Farrington (2012), p. 125 note 312, based on aforementioned victory sequence and Moretti's (1957), no. 503 estimate of the Olympic victory dating to 300 B.C. - PK Pausanias reports that Archippos, whose patronymic he does not give, won in boxing ‘not far from the age of twenty’ one victory each (‘τὸν---λάβοι στέφανον’) at the Olympia, Pythia, Nemea and Isthmia, which may mean that he won all these victories in a single cycle of the periodos or, as Strasser suggests, that he may have won some of them as a παῖς or as an ἀγένειος (at the Isthmia and Nemea). - EK
