Farrington, n. 581 writes the following: 'SEG 17, 1950, no. 381 are fragments of a list of office holders, perhaps gymnasiarchs (FRASER, Kings of Commagene, 368 – 369), from a stone whose original dimensions are not known. Thus lines 3 – 8 of D, (c), ‘ὁ γεγονὼς Ἀπολλώνιος Ἀρχε|στράτου φιλόκ[αι]σαρ τὸ τρίτον, περιοδονίκης’ do not mean (as Moretti (1957, nos. 765, 769, 772) takes them to mean) that Apollonios was periodonikes three times, but that he held the position in question, whatever it was, three times.' Moretti later (1992) concedes to this.
We followed Farrington's interpretation.
