Comment: The athlete won the periodos within the periodos (i.e. within four years) twice (ll. 4-5). Regarding his origin: both Moretti and Farrington have 'Nikopolis (??)' after Bousquet 1992 (ed. pr.), but Farrington's note 593 strongly doubts that interpretation, wherefore it has been left out here. Moretti (1970) suggests the father's name as Numenios.
