According to Farrington (2012) this athlete was probably active somewhere between c. 200-230. Following Moretti (1970), the date of the Olympic victory falls in the end of the 2nd century because in 202, when he held the office of προφήτης, he was already periodonikes.
I.Didyma 188 (II 10-15) and 189 (II 9-15) mention Artemidorus as a periodonikes. The specific discipline of this athlete is unknown. NB: Farrington wrongly has I.Didyma 86 at the beginning of his note 654, later correctly refers to I.Didyma 81 again. - YP/CT
Moretti (1970) states the athlete's name as Publius Aelius Granianos Phanias Artemidoros.
