| Comment: | Farrington (2012), no. 1.65 merely refers to Amandry, P. (1980), 'Sur concours argiens', in: BCHSupplement VI, 211-253, which I have not read. The inscription in question however is SEG 17.150, from the theater in Argos (basis for the assumption that this was Prateas' hometown), dated to the middle of the 4th century B.C., which is the basis for Farrington's (2012), p. 122 note 288 wide dating range. It mentions Prateas was a wrestler and gives more than the two Isthmian victories. - PK |
