| Comment: | Akestorides was the first of the men from Troas to win at the Olympic games. IvO 184 suggests a date of late 3rd century BC. Moretti (1957), no. 590 proposes that his victory was won at the 142nd Olympiad (= 212 BC). [DvdL]. Sève (1993) also lists IvO 180 as a source, although it makes no mention of a festival. |
