Comment: | Kimon won his first victory when he was in exile from Athens; his second he won but he gave the victory to Peisistratos, and therefore was allowed to come back from exile. His third victory he won just before he was murdered by the sons of Peisistratos. The dating is not certain, but Moretti 1957, no. 120 suggests the three victories took place successively at the 61st, 62nd and 63rd Olympiads (536, 532 and 528 BC) |
