Farrington (2012), no. 1.138
Comment: Dating taken from Farrington, cf. Farrington (2012), 138 note 419: this because all known victors from the Black Sea Region are from the imperial period and the author of the poem mentioning Damostratos, Philippos of Thessalonike, is estimated to have been active between 14 and 37-9 A.D.: Farrington therefore assumes Damostratos was his contemporary, with some margin. In the poem, Gr. Anth. 16.25, it is said Damostratos won the Isthmian pine wreath six times (hexakis) with wrestling.
