| Comment: | Sostratos won the boys' stadion race when Oibotas' statue was erected (entry no. 6). This was in the 80th Olympiad (Paus. 7.17.6). Some scholars identified Sostratos with another victor in the boys' stadion race, also from Pellana, but called Sokrates (Paus. 6.8.1). An inscription mentions a [--]krates, victor in the same discipline (IvO 157). Different sources would have mentioned different names. |
