| Comment: | Pausanias records that Pantarkes was the lover of the famous sculptor Pheidias. Pheidias had made a statue which according to Pausanias resembled Pantarkes (Paus. 5.11.3). He also saw the actual statue of Pantarkes (6.10.6). |
