| Comment: | Gravestone with epigram dated to 550-525 BC, the victory could thus date some time before 550 BC. According to Peek (1976) the father was the olympionikes - though not buries with his son. According to Hansen (1974) it was the son. Moretti (1992), instead suggests that 'Olympionikos' was the son's name and not an agonistic title. |
