Comment: The Alkmeonidai are introduced as the 'descendants of Erechtheus' by Pindar. They won multiple victories at different festivals. Farrington assumes the contestants competed at equestrian discipline at all festivals because of a reference to victories in Cirrha (Κίρρα), which is the city below Delphi where the equestrian events of the games were held.
