Comment: In Pindar's Ode, several references to other victories are also made, some by named members of the Oligaithidai-family (such as Xenophon and his father Thessalus), others are not. As they overlap (some of the sixty victories at the Nemea and the Isthmia are won by named individuals, while others are not), all these victories are grouped under the Oligaithidai, rather than also creating separate Person-entries for the named ones. Up to the point when Pindar wrote his 13th Olympic, they had won 60 times at the Isthmia and the Nemea and six times at Pythia. The also had victories in other major or lesser festivals, such as the Hekatombia in Argos, at Thebes, either Herakleia or Ioleia, at Lykaia, at Pellene, at Sykion (prbably the Pythia) and at Megara (possibly the Alkathoia). They also won at Marathon, at Eleusis and an unnamed city under Aitna in Sicily. The Oligaithidai may have been particularly active at the Isthmia and Nemea from the (re)foundation of their festivals onwards. - EK Not all victories added (March 2020) - PS
