According to Farrington (2012), this athlete was probably active somewhere between c. 220-230 AD. IG V.1, 556 records him as being a twice periodonikes (l. 5). Alkandridas was active in the discipline of stadion. Moretti (1957) places the two Olympic victories of Alkandridas tentatively in AD 221 and 225. - YP
Alkandridas was a talented athlete and had a fruitful career afterwards: as high priest of the imperial cult and bideoi, much like his father (Gouw). In total, 9+ victories: Argos (2), Corinth (2), Olympia (2), Delphi (2), Plataiai, 'and many other games'
