Comment: According to Strasser (2001) it is unknown which town with the name of Hybla is mentioned. It is not clear from which Hybla Archlas was from: Hybla Heraia or Hybla Maior (or possibly even Hyblaia Megara). Archlas' victory must at least be later than 396 BC, because Krates was the first victor in the keryx-competition (entry no. 302). The epigram preserving Archlas' three victories is recorded by Pollianus, who possibly wrote in the 2nd century AD. Archlas also won a victory at the Pythia.
