| Comment: | Moretti estimates that the man was born around 20-25 AD. Therefore, his victories should be dated within a century of this date. Dio Chrysostom informs us about Melankomas' son (referred to by Moretti as Melankomas II), who was active as a boxer. Hence, Moretti assumes that the father was also a boxer. According to Dio, Melankomas was a very famous man, who also won many other victories. The other victories are not specified.
